The 40th UIM F1H2O World Championship was nothing short of spectacular, as the world's most talented and audacious marine speed enthusiasts battled fiercely for the most prestigious title in powerboat racing.
The F1 H2O World Championship 2024 in Zhengzhou took place along the picturesque Yellow River, adding a historical and cultural touch to the event. Jonas Andersson from Team Vietnam dominated the race and won convincingly. This success gave him a boost in the title fight, as he benefited from the failures of top drivers Rusty Wyatt and Erik Stark. Many yellow flags demonstrated how challenging the conditions were and affected many drivers, putting Andersson in an advantageous position.
The 2024 F1H2O World Championship made its comeback to Shanghai after 20 years, taking place at the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. The race brought together nine top teams and 19 drivers from 13 countries, hitting speeds as fast as 266 km/h. It was a thrilling race with Eric Stark passing Jonas Andersson for second place after a safety-focused rolling start, which helped pole-sitter Rusty Wyatt keep his lead the whole time.
